When we both retired recently we decided that one of our first tasks was to down-size into a smaller house. We moved from a house with four bedrooms and three reception rooms plus a very large study cum sewing room. We moved into a new house with two bedrooms and one room that had to successfully combine the functions of lounge, dining room and study.

We called Brian of BJ Shelving and asked him to design us a wall of cupboards, drawers and shelves that would accommodate china, books, CDs, and a computer and its paraphernalia etc. We wanted to maximise our storage but to have an attractive piece of fitted furniture too. Initially we chose BJ Shelving because of their experience. When Brian came to visit us he listened carefully to our tentative ideas of what we were trying to achieve and tried to accommodate them all. He proved very easy to work with and gave us a fitting date when he did the estimate. The fitters arrived on time and even brought dust sheets to cover our furniture. They were cheerful but very efficient and now instead of miscellaneous pieces we have a piece of furniture that is fit for purpose. We can find everything and are really pleased with the outcome. We would not hesitate to recommend BJ Shelving.

4 Steps to take for your fitted arrangement

1)Contact us. By email or phone for a friendly chat after which we will give you a quotation for your requirements.
2) Price. If you are happy with the quotation, we will arrange to visit you during the day, evening, or weekend, at a time that is convenient to you.
3) Visit. Usually takes about an hour, and during this time, we will listen to your requirements, produce a design to meet those needs, give you a firm price, agree a fitting date that is convenient to you, usually within two to four weeks of the visit date.
4) Installation. Your arrangement will be completed within one day, ready for you to replace your possessions on the arrangement. We will leave the area clean and tidy.

If you move house it is possible to take the arrangement with you, in most cases it can be adapted to the new home.
